Tips for Checking Your Domain Name 

At  iMarket Solutions, we want to take a moment to remind you that checking in on your domain name is a good practice to get into, and can help prevent downtime to your website and possibly even your email (if it’s connected to your domain, such as john@domainname.com).

Did you know that the majority of website downtime is caused by expired domain names?

If you currently manage your own domain registrar account, (that is where your domain name is registered), here are some items that we recommend scheduling time to review on a consistent basis - perhaps once a quarter, or every 6 months:

  • Make sure your domain name renewal is set to auto-renew
  • Make sure the payment method on file is current and accurate
  • Check the expiration date on your payment method 

    • And confirm that the expiration date on your payment method comes after the renewal date on your domain name.
